| Welcome to the Armenian Restaurant Association Website Armenian Restaurant Association Founded in 2006, the Armenian Restaurant Association (ARA) aspires to improve the quality of products and services in the Armenian restaurant industry by providing ongoing training and support to its members as well as introducing new technology, recipes, and cooking methods.
ARA promotes a consistent level of high quality for a wide variety of foods and beverages while continuing to introduce new products in the Armenian market.
ARA values the importance of food safety which it seeks to achieve through the use of modern tools, equipment, machinery and the development of a structured supply chain. To this end, ARA negotiates competitive rates and improved delivery service from suppliers and is in the process of creating a new shared database that will be accessible to all its members.
The ARA also lobbies for legislation that will be beneficial for the restaurant industry in Armenia.
The ARA cooperates and networks with Armenian tourist boards and organization as well as international associations. In addition, media outreach campaigns are being developed and will be ongoing to raise the awareness of ARA and its work.
ARA MISSION
The mission of ARA is to contribute to the development of state policy on public catering services and industry related legislation, ongoing prosperity and perfection. We try our best to meet international service delivery standards as a result of which consumers should benefit.
ARA VISION
The Armenian Restaurant Association meets international standards. ARA is a vital and proactive organization unifying the majority of Armenian leading public catering companies and is a local and international center of excellence.

GOALS Strategic Goal #1: Legal and regulatory environment of the public industry is improved Objectives:
1. Participate in the development of state policy on public catering services, as well as industry related legislation and by-laws.
2. Study internationally practiced regulatory standards for public catering and develop new ones based on local needs.
3. Ensure that normative acts developed by Armenian Restaurant Association are consistent with regulatory standards for public catering.
4. Contribute to decreasing the number of state regulatory and bodies, ensuring clear specification of their functions and improving their coordination. |
Strategic Goal #2: Public food service industry workers operate according to internationally accepted standards, food safety and sanitation complies with internationally accepted standards. Objectives:
1. Ensure the availability of sufficient educational institutions with varying specialities (waiters, managers, cooks, etc.) that produce graduates meeting the requirements of employers.
2. Contribute to increasing the availability of training opportunities for industry specialists.
3. Contribute to food safety through the adoption and practice of ARA developed standards at restaurants.
4. Implement consumer education and advocacy for the art of cookery.
5. Organize an annual contest for the best cook of the year and award prizes.

1. Ensure supplier privileges for member restaurants.
2. Provide updated information on market opportunities.
3. Provide member restaurants with high quality consulting and professional training opportunities.
